The Institute EURO'PROVENCE is located in the center of Marseille, a few minutes walk from the Vieux-Port, in the heart of the commercial district with a good bus and underground service.


The school, classrooms and cyber-lab are spacious and pleasant, allowing students to work in excellent conditions. Our educational team, formed of professionals with the highest qualifications, carefully monitor the progress of their students. The French courses aim to provide a good level of expression in the written and spoken language in an atmosphere that is both serious and friendly.
At the same time, the Institute proposes a number of cultural activities through which our students can appreciate the different aspects of our beautiful provencal city, created by the Greeks more than 2.600 years ago.

   

 

Our course methods, classical and audio-visual, include grammar, spelling, vocabulary, conjugation, written and spoken expression, supervised reading, role play and phonetics with access to a cyber-lab.

A written and oral test must be taken in order to determine the level of each student. According to your results and the agreement of the teachers, supplementary hours will be offered.

Complete beginners - level 1 : work with a progressive method which ensures the systematic learning of the language with written, oral and listening exercices. Learning how to communicate is aided by the numerous activities in which the students is encouraged to talk. Students are able to discover our civilization and culture through interesting and motivating material such as documents, illustrations and photographs.

Beginners - level 1+ : Beginners work on their oral capabilities to understand and reply to all persons they may come into contact with in daily life.

Advanced beginners - niveau 2 : systematically revise their previous knowledge and continue their acquisition on vocabulary, grammar and communication skills. They begin to participate in writing workshops in order to learn to express their thoughts in a clear and precise manner. Role play techniques are used to teach them how to communicate in all day to day situations.

Intermediate - level 3 and Advanced - level 4: tackle the more complex structures of the language including French literature of the 19th, 20th and 21th centuries and work on writing techniques such as writing summaries, analysis and dissertations. They also analyze important subjects in general French culture, in discussions using different mediums such as newspaper articles, television reports and audio-visual videos. They also study diverse subjects of French society, French language, the towns, the environment, education, the workplace, the population, the young, the role of women in today's society, the years of retirement, health, medical progress, culture and leisure, advertising, mass media, informations systems, political life, the fifth Republic of France, Europe, and other themes in accordance with current events.

Very advanced - level 5 : study our civilization in a lot more depth, the various types of expression (French slang to sophisticated French) and 19th, 20th and 21th century literature.

Superior - level 6 : study the literary movements using techniques such as writing summaries, analysis and commentaries from the "nouveau roman" (1958's) to our contempory authors.

 

DIPLOMAS :
We also prepare, with success, our students for the D.E.L.F and D.A.L.F allowing entry to all French universities as well as the TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Français) from the Chamber of Commerce of Paris and the DIPLOMA of the Institut EUROPROVENCE.

Lab
The Institute Euro'Provence proposes numerous softwares in French. Each week, the students practice some exercises corresponding to their level with their teachers.

The practice is free if it is a course with the teacher.
If the student wants to work alone in the Cyber-L@b, the price is 1 euro for 30 minutes and 2 euro for 60 minutes .
